Ian Strong, a native of Coram, New York, made a significant impact on Long Island football during his time at St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington. Excelling as both a wide receiver and defensive back, he played a pivotal role in leading the Friars to an impressive 11-1 record and a New York CHSFL AAA championship in 2022. That season, Strong recorded 30 receptions for 797 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense, while defensively contributing 80 tackles, three interceptions, and a sack.

Following his high school success, Strong committed to Rutgers University, where he continued to showcase his talents. In his freshman year, he appeared in all 13 games, starting twice, and amassed 16 receptions for 230 yards and two touchdowns. His sophomore season saw further growth, with Strong starting 11 of 12 games, recording 43 receptions for 676 yards, and leading the team with five receiving touchdowns. His consistent performance earned him an honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition by the coaches and a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten list.
