Rich Salgado is a New Hyde Park, N.Y. native, who earned a football scholarship to Maryland in the 1980s. In College Park, Salgado’s roommate was then Terrapin quarterback and future Steelers Pro Bowler Neil O’Donnell. Rich “Big Daddy” Salgado learned the game of football as a youth in Long Island, NY. and that’s why he is so proud to present “The 2015 Big Daddy Youth Football Camp” in conjunction with Ed Mangano and Nassau County Parks & Recreation. The camp returns to the Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, from Monday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 1. The camp, for kids ages 6 to 18, will run from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. each night and will include instruction from current and former NFL players and coaches.
The Big Daddy Youth Football Camp is a non-contact camp that will teach our campers the fundamentals of playing football. All campers will receive instruction on the proper techniques for playing offense, defense, and special teams.
