Long Island Football Influencer

[These are the movers and shakers of Long Island Youth Football that we wish to honor. They are Coaches, Recruiters, Parents, NFL/NCAA players, and dedicated people doing things in and outside their communities to elevate the level of football on Long Island. These people do not all have 20 years of experience, fancy alma maters, or superstar backgrounds. Many of them do; but what they all have in common is more important than that: they all put in many hours dedicated to the cause. This is time spent away from their families, sacrificing, working hard to to gain more exposure for players on Long Island, and creating new opportunities for them. Their passion and dedication is fueling the new movement that is getting people on Long Island excited about football. #JoinTheLiyfaMovement]

You immediately think “football player” when you meet Ken Corcoran for the first time, but his overbearing stature is not the only thing that’s impressive. Ken is a former semi-pro player that has been influential in East Islip, as well as across Long Island. He is very involved in the community, and has touched the lives of many as evidenced by the number of press mentions he has received over the years for various events he’s been involved in locally. He’s a passionate coach, and a charismatic leader who has brought together a number of talented former college football players to help develop the local youth program. He is well known in Long Island football circles, partly because of his determination to see that things are done correctly, and in ways that reflect sportsmanship and professionalism. He is ultra competitive but never at the cost of helping kids grow as football players and into respectable young adults. Find a local football event, and you’ll probably discover that Ken is somehow connected. Fortunate for us he spends a great deal of his free time cultivating the youth football players of Long Island, and in doing so he imparts his own values of integrity, sportsmanship, and ambition.
